Irish Angling Update 1 December 2023

The angling season at Costello & Fermoyle faced challenges with high water levels early on, leading to limited fishing. Warm weather and low water levels in May prompted a temporary closure due to rising water temperatures. However, improved conditions in July led to increased salmon and sea trout activity. Despite poor salmon yields, sea trout catches saw a significant rise, totaling 842 compared to 304 in 2022.
